After-School Club

Make & Grow Workshop after-school clubs offer learners a chance to step into a creative space at the end of the school day, a place where imagination, practical skills, and nature come together.

Each session gives learners an hour to an hour and a half of hands-on making, using sustainable and upcycled materials to explore meaningful woodworking and nature-based projects. From creating a Mini Bug Hotel to building a Wooden Bench for the Garden, designing an Outdoor Nature Table, or crafting a Sensory Wind Wall, every activity is chosen to spark curiosity and keep learners engaged.

Our focus is on helping learners grow, not just in skills, but in confidence. As they cut, shape, design, test, and try again, they learn to problem-solve, make decisions, and take pride in their ideas. We encourage independence and support each learner to express their own style and creativity.

Learning happens naturally along the way:

  • Maths shows up in measuring, comparing sizes, and estimating materials.

  • Literacy appears in reading simple instructions, naming creations, and talking through ideas with others.

Nothing feels formal, it all happens gently and organically through the making process.

Make & Grow Workshop sessions are calm, welcoming, and inclusive. We adapt tools, techniques, and project difficulty so every learner can take part successfully, whether they’re bursting with ideas or need a little encouragement to get started.

After-school clubs with us aren’t just about making things — they’re about building joy, creativity, and the confidence to try something new.
